OUR HISTORY

The Queer Housing Summit is a project started in 2022 by South Tower Community Land Trust, a non-profit focused on building shared prosperity and wealth in the South Tower District of Fresno and beyond. Now in its fourth year, this hybrid event has drawn speakers from 11+ states and audience attention from across the nation.

The summit was developed as a way for community members to

share creative solutions to the housing crisis, learn new skills, and practice joy-as-resistance, while strengthening community networks and centering the housing experiences of LGBTQ+ people.

In addition to keynote speakers and live panels, the summit features interactive roundtables, discussions on state and local housing policy, and performances from a range of local artists. The event is made possible by a beautiful, diverse team of volunteers, sponsors, presenters, and other participants.
